Youth Earn College Cash From The 2016 Farnam Breeders Trust Scholarship Program

Showing Breeders’ Trust-enrolled Paint Horses really paid off for two exhibitors.
AjPHA members Mollie Coffin and Lauren Zaddack each received a $1,000 FarnamBreeders’ Trust Youth scholarship from APHA and Farnam Horse Products; additionally, an APHA regional club of their choice each receives $500, courtesy of Farnam.

After trying different avenues the Appaloosa Horse Club Sale Committee has made the decision to bring their World Sale back to the live auction ring.
The 2016 World Sale will be presented by dac® and takes place on October 26th in conjunction with the World Championship ApHC Show at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

Do You Really Know What the Equine Infectious Anemia Testing or “Coggins Testing” is?

Each year many horse owners have an Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA) or Coggins testing performed on their horse.
Obtaining an EIA testing result on an equine does not prevent the horse from contacting the Equine infectious anemia disease, but identifies equine that have the potential to be “carriers” of the disease. Most horse owners accept that obtaining the testing result is just an added expense on their veterinarian bill. They pay for the testing so that they can participate in horse events or travel across interstate lines.
